Thursday Evening Road Rides.

Apologies if this has been mentioned recently, but it must nearly be time to restart our Thursday Evening Road Ride. Was great fun last year and ideal as some of us find it difficult to get out on a weekend.
Anyone interested?

Hi Matt, I would certainly be happy to re-start the Thursday evening rides. It might be just a little early yet, but give it a couple more weeks, and then we can start.
How about starting regular Thursday evening rides from Thursday 3rd May,. We would need to have a 6 pm start, at least for the first few weeks, before it gets lighter in the evenings.
Plan would be to ride approx 25 miles, usually taking in a loop down to the bottom of the North Downs, and back. Ride pace is approx 14 - 15 mph ave depending on who turns up - so suitable for groups 5 and upwards.
This is much more of a "social" ride, than a organised Saturday one, with various club members "leading" . I'm happy to plan a route for the 3rd May. If you fancy joining us, can you please let us know.
You should bring some lights, just in case we get delayed due to punctures etc. Ta Steve

If anyone fancies an alternative this week - you could cycle to Candence Performance ( http://www.cadenceperformance.com/about-us/ ) and join Micheala and I turbo training up the Alps at 7 O/C for an hour and then cycle back with us.

This Thursday I will be going to Cadence direct from work and plan to arrive around 6-30 - I have booked one of the turbos on line - at the moment they don't charge for the booking - booked one hour from 7 to 8.

I would be interested in joining a Thursday evening ride if poss although I haven't ridden with the club for around six or seven months since I changed jobs? I used to ride with the old group two! If I would be holding anyone back please do say and I'll give it a miss?
Should also say when I ride solo I seem to average around 13.5mph so should be able to up it if necessary
