Yum Yum! Smoothie Bike!
What could be better after a ride than a healthy smoothie? One you've made yourself on a smoothie bike. Bromley Council is bringing its machine to Hayes Village Hall from 10.30am on Saturday May 25th. You throw in fruit (provided), peddle and a smoothie comes out. There will also be free bike marking and Steve who runs their fabulous maintenance classes will be on hand to carry out very basic bike fittings for the 7s and 6s. Not to be missed!

Group Ride Ride Etiquette - Must Read
We want BigfootCC to set the standard for safe and enjoyable rides. With the growing popularity of the Saturday morning road rides, it's important that everyone is aware that these are group rides. A group that sticks together is fun, safe and efficient (you save energy). Our good practices guide is given to all new members when they join.
  • Groups will be no more than 10
  • Groups will ride at the advertised average speeds
  • Riders should change groups if they want to go faster, rather than disrupt their current group
  • To reduce congestion, each level will cycle their own route picked from a suite of rides
If you have any questions or points to raise please use the thread in the forum.

www.fillthathole.org.uk Report Those Potholes
With the roads in a poor state here's a reminder that there are several ways of reporting potholes. Local councils have a duty to maintain the roads, but they can only fill a pothole if they know about it.
1. You can report to Bromley Council online at https://fix.bromley.gov.uk/
2. CTC's http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/
3. CTC's iPhone app which means you can send a photo directly iPhone app
There are Android Apps but we're not sure which is best so any advice would be welcome.
Be a member, wear the kit

At BigfootCC we like to ride for fun and fitness. We aim to appeal to leisure cyclists right up to semi-serious riders who enjoy taking part in sportives, races and time trials. The club is affiliated to the Cyclists Touring Club (CTC), the Road Time Trials Council (RTTC) and British Cycling (BC).

Ride Rules
As a club we want to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable ride so with this in mind we've produced a set of general rules we ask all riders to follow. There's also information about group riding including hand and verbal signals for your fellow riders and information if you wish to join the MTB rides. Interesting viewing is also this Group riding skills video from BikeRadar.

Regular Rides
Road: We have 3-4 hour road rides every Saturday morning around the lanes of Kent and Surrey, taking in some hills. Meet at 8:15am in the car park at the rear of The George pub in George Lane, Hayes.

MTB: There is a lively off-road section with nightrides every Thursday at 8:00pm. There is often a Sunday ride as well.

Each ride has an experienced leader. Check Next Rides and the Forums to find out more.
