Cyclopark Cyclopark - July 14th
The next exclusive Bigfoot CC session at Cyclopark is on July 14th with Britsh Cycling coach Huw Williams and Denver Collins, so please make a note in your diary. We have the whole road circuit from 10-12. More details to follow. If you have not been before, please make try to make it as we will practice group riding and basic skills on a purpose-built, traffic-free circuit. The session is free for club members.

Relaxing Summer Social - June 27th
All members and partners are warmly invited to the Bigfoot Cycle Club Summer Social at The Warren. Dress casual. Drinks and bar food from 7:30pm.
Let’s make this a really good (and big) event. See you there.

Bewl Water Bewl Water Family And Level 7 Ride June 30th
Bizarrely, June 30th is missing from the calendar on this page! But Adam's organised a great day at Bewl Water, near Lamberhurst for that Sunday, so don't miss it. It's a part road, part off-road ride of about 14 miles, with some hills, with a shorter 7-mile, less hilly all off-road Family option. Meet there at 11am. Click here...
Ride Leading Ride Leader Rotas - Updated June 4th
The latest 2013 Ride Leader Rota is now available.
If you are interested in becoming a ride leader or assisting the Saturday morning rides as a Lanterne Rouge then we'd love to hear from you. For further details, please visit the Ride Leaders Section or email us at info@bigfootcc.co.uk

Group Ride Ride Etiquette - Must Read
We want BigfootCC to set the standard for safe and enjoyable rides. With the growing popularity of the Saturday morning road rides, it's important that everyone is aware that these are group rides. A group that sticks together is fun, safe and efficient (you save energy). Our good practices guide is given to all new members when they join.
  • Groups will be no more than 10
  • Groups will ride at the advertised average speeds
  • Riders should change groups if they want to go faster, rather than disrupt their current group
  • To reduce congestion, each level will cycle their own route picked from a suite of rides
If you have any questions or points to raise please use the thread in the forum.

www.fillthathole.org.uk Report Those Potholes
With the roads in a poor state here's a reminder that there are several ways of reporting potholes. Local councils have a duty to maintain the roads, but they can only fill a pothole if they know about it.
1. You can report to Bromley Council online at https://fix.bromley.gov.uk/
2. CTC's http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/
3. CTC's iPhone app which means you can send a photo directly iPhone app
There are Android Apps but we're not sure which is best so any advice would be welcome.
Be a member, wear the kit

At BigfootCC we like to ride for fun and fitness. We aim to appeal to leisure cyclists right up to semi-serious riders who enjoy taking part in sportives, races and time trials. The club is affiliated to the Cyclists Touring Club (CTC), the Road Time Trials Council (RTTC) and British Cycling (BC).

Ride Rules
As a club we want to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable ride so with this in mind we've produced a set of general rules we ask all riders to follow. There's also information about group riding including hand and verbal signals for your fellow riders and information if you wish to join the MTB rides. Interesting viewing is also this Group riding skills video from BikeRadar.

Remember that cycling is, like all sports, potentially dangerous so please do take care, ensure your bike is properly maintained and wear appropriate safety clothing/helmet. Our rides are open to public participation but Bigfoot Cycle Club does not assume any liability for your participation. In no event, shall Bigfoot Cycle Club accept any liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by use of, or reliance, on information on this website.

Regular Rides
Road: We have 3-4 hour road rides every Saturday morning around the lanes of Kent and Surrey, taking in some hills. Meet at 8:15am in the car park at the rear of The George pub in George Lane, Hayes.

MTB: There is a lively off-road section with nightrides every Thursday at 8:00pm. There is often a Sunday ride as well.

Each ride has an experienced leader. Check Next Rides and the Forums to find out more.
